Totally removing Avast Update Helper from Windows 10

Hi guys

I have totally removed/uninstalled Avast Update Helper from a Windows 10 PC but it appears to still be active as it is generating Warnings in the Windows error logs as per the attached images.

How do I absolutely permanently remove Avast Update Helper?

Until your post I couldn’t recall the Avast Update Helper, so I did a google search on it https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Avast+Update+Helper which returns many hits. Some of these hits are to sites I hadn’t heard of so care would need to be taken, which is why I followed up one from the avast forum.

From my previous Googling, I had an inkling that Secure Browser may need to be uninstalled also.

I will uninstal it and see what happens and report back here as well.

Hi guys,

A quick update.

I totally uninstalled the Avast Secure browser and the errors have now disappeared.

It looks as though you need to remove Secure browser in conjunction with removing the Updater in order to not have weird error records logged.
