translation team: minor grammar error in german version

hi!

for people who want the german avast translation to be PERFECT:

under the “update” tab there is some information displayed when the last update check
for new definition files has been made. it says

Letzter Updateversuch: vor 0 Minuten
Letzter Updateversuch: vor 1 Minuten
Letzter Updateversuch: vor 2 Minuten

the correct spelling should be:
Letzter Updateversuch: vor 0 Minuten
Letzter Updateversuch: vor 1 Minute ← NO “n”
Letzter Updateversuch: vor 2 Minuten

hope i’m not too picky

Sorry, but that would require additional logic in the code, and highly language-specific (e.g. in Czech, you might even have a different form of the word for 1, different for 2,3,4, and different for 5 or more) - so that’s unlikely to happen.

ok - a possible solution could be to rephrase

Letzter Updateversuch: vor xx Minuten

to

Letzter Updateversuch: vor xx Minuteb[/b]

means word “Minute(n)” hard coded

again - picky, i know

Why not change the whole thing to:

“Last update attempt: 03/27/2011 23:44”

in German:

“Letzter Updateversuch: 27.03.2011 23:44”

You wouldn’t have to count up the minutes… even lighter?

Well, could be, but… when you check the window randomly, how likely it is that it’s exactly “1 minute” you’ll see there?

Could be as well, but since the feature is already there… (I mean, it’s easier to see “30 minutes ago” than the time - then you have to look for what time it is at the moment).

yeah - already said - i am a perfectionist. nevermind ;D
