TRAT BHO WONT DELETE SOLVED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK i know if your like me. you may have had an issue where avast home gets a virus warning for TRAT BHO. The File was always different .that you tell avast Home To delete and it keeps coming back all the time… In my case no matter how i scanned it would not go away . I used Spy bot and many other things at first to fix this all to no help. I ran trendmicros hijack this and it would get rid of .

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {E180F496-8A4B-44E2-9FE0-0364E345DB7F} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\opnmmnm.dll

but a new scan would bring this back every time. . I then downloaded gmer.exe (http://www.gmer.net/gmer.zip ). I unzipped it and ran the file . since i knew that this file C:\WINDOWS\system32\opnmmnm.dll needed to be deleted . I used gmer to find it and used the kill option . Gmer then told me that . It would be deleted on reboot in winXP . Then i ran Hijack this again and choose the fix option for O2 - BHO: (no name) - {E180F496-8A4B-44E2-9FE0-0364E345DB7F} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\opnmmnm.dll.Hijack this removed it and new scans showed it gone. To my utter amazement. I haven’t had this issue since.
I hope this helps you and the avast team work in this .

Thanks for posting the information. Hopefully, it will help someone.

Thanks for this info! It did indeed help me - after going crazy trying unsuccessfully to get rid of a bloody stubborn WIN32:BHO-KD[trj] trojan for at least a week, followed the steps using this tool, and eventually was able to delete the file!
