Trojan.Abwiz

DavidR Thanks PURA VIDA (in English something like the expression cool)

Your welcome.

DavidR well I’m already does the process for delete Trojan.Abwiz, with the specials tools but is not into the winlog it is only in the chest that means than now I’m only need to wait for a couple of weeks and if system works good delete it from the chest right?

Process Explorer is an analysis tool only it doesn’t delete anything but informs you of running processes. It is through this that you can usually find the process responsible, once found that information helps you to deal with the problem.

However I have to say I don’t think you will find anything as you would appear to have cleaned it with ewido.

DavidR, FreewheelinFrank the system is clean thanks a lot for your help, my PC now has AvastHome, Ewido and SpywareBlaster in charge of the security. If somebody else need help for clean or protect their system I’m recommend to all off them in a 100% Avast is the best and if you need support take notes and fallow the recommendations than you will be receive here from the AvastEvangelist they really take care.

Tonight AvastHome scan my system one more time after the cleaned yesterday the Trojan.Abwiz yesterday Friday, in standard way and the results 0 viruses.

If anyone has the situation presented here all the step indicated are the best way for resolved,

Thanks,

DavidR after all this experience I started to learn more about protection, and you know here in the forum a friend presented the Spyware Terminator, I was looking about it in site and after that I have a question for you , what is your point of view between Ewido and Spyware Terminator ?? ??? ??? ???

Regards,

Riqui

I’ve never used Spyware Terminator, there is a huge thread on spyware terminator that got quite heated. Me I’m one of those who know there are plenty of anti-spyware programs out there that have never had any stigma or doubt attached.

I don’t even know if the two can be compared feature/function V feature/function. I have ewido and have had for some time as effectively what it used to be an trojan hunter (anti-trojan) before it have several name changes. I also use AdAware, Spybot S&D and SpywareBlaster. I think that is enough to keep up to date and cover my needs outside of avast, I do believe you can get to a point of paranoia and have too many security programs.

Thanks DavidR, good point I will take your advise , You know I’m going to take the chance and go to visit a place were Trojans are part of the neighboard and test both of them with the Trojans, but Avast is out of doubt, is PURA VIDA.

Regards,

I trust your recovery and back-up strategy is perfected because it could seriously cause you some grief not to mention down time.

I do daily back-ups of my data files, I also use a Drive Imaging tool that I run once a week to take exact copies of my partitions and copy it to a second HDD and to DVD if necessary. That way if the worst does happen and it either can’t be recovered or it is going to take some time, I simply restore the last image and then restore the last daily back-up. All this can be done in minutes not hours or worse with a major failure or issue.

Spyware Terminator could be integrated with ClamWin antivirus protection. Has on-access (resident) protection.
Ewido is a very good program, very good detection rates (few false positives). Only on-demmand for free.

Tech, Yes I know that but Ewido is free and work with all its features but expire some of the most important after 30 days, and if you like it you need to buy it, Am I right? :-\ :-\ :-\

Riqui

If with “some of the most important features” you’re talking about resident (on-access) protection, yes, after 30 days it’ll be gone. The same for automatic updates.
But all other features and the hability to clean (remove) spywares on-demmand will be there forever.

Free resident protection you can only have: TeaTimer from SpyBot and Spyware Terminator. As far I know…
Oh, SpywareBlaster allows immunization

OK Tech EXCELLENT , I’m planing to have in my system after I made a test between Ewido and Spy Terminator, in charge one of it, one or both of them, especially after you explanation I fell would be a good choice both of them. 8) 8) 8)

To : DavidR,and Tech,

Ewido and Spy Terminator did a good protection Ewido remove almost 100% a Spy Terminator finished the job in my personal conclusion like a user only like a user not a expert I am going to use Ewido like my first tool and Spy Terminator like a second opinion and Avast is going to be in charge against the viruses.

Still in contact,

Pura Vida 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

No more Trojans, no more viruses, Avast is the best.

        1. AVAST

DavidR,Tech good day, here I am for tell you about my system protection, today Ewido is working only on demand the trial version is finished, that means that I only still using Avast plus Spyware Terminator but all is 100% thanks for Avast take care.

Congratulations Avast Home Edition is excellent, use it is 100% protection, all the time the update are on line, the team Avast really take care.

DavidR I have a question, what is the difference betwen the Avast Home Edition and Professional Version, what is the best choice in my case for home use. ??? ???

You have to base your decision on your needs, the pro version gives much greater flexibility, in scheduling scans, what to do if a virus is found, Enhanced User Interface, etc. etc.

Avast Home V Avast Pro differences http://www.avast.com/eng/av4_version_comp.html
