Trojan detected in Google Map, Virus in Google "News and Weather"

Hello: new here, need advice on something that was reported by the (free) Avast Mobile Security software on my Android Phone. This afternoon it said that it found two issues, that Google Maps had a trojan and Google “News and Weather” had a possible virus. [ I may have switched which app had trojan and which the virus ]. I did a web search from a desktop did not find any exact matches. Also, Avast Mobile Security could not “fix” these issues by removing the two apps because they are a part of the core Android install and cannot be uninstalled (at least, not easily). So I thought, before doing something drastic, let me see if I can update Avast Mobile Security. I did that successfully and now have v 4.0.7875. With this version, Avast is not finding (I ran a full scan) any trojans or virus. So the question is, can I trust what Avast says now, or should I trust what it said before? If the latter, what are my options?

Hello,

it was probably a false positive which was already fixed.

sorry for you inconvenience,

Jan
