Trojan found this morning after Avast online update ..

System: VISTA premium

I use a chinese chat system named QQ (TENCENT software) since rather long time even when i was under Windows XP Pro.

Yesterday that chat system was working ok. To day, after the online update of the Avast base it detects the following Trojan:
WIN32:Delf-GNK [trj]
Avast says that it is a trojan but i find no reference about this.
Now i can not use my QQ system it has been blocked by Avast.

What can i do?

Thanks if you can help me.

it’s probably a false positive… send us the file in a password protected archive to virus[at]avast[dot]com… you can add all the affected files to exclusions temporarilly to make your QQ working…

p.s. fill in “false positive: Delf-GNK” as the message subject

I have the same problem.

I’ve added the files to the exclusions list but i still get an alert when i try to run QQ.

and did you send the file already?

just sent it

I use the Home version of Avast … how to put the files in the exclusion list ? I do not know how to do …

Thanks for your help and answers …

Did you add it to the Standard Shield, Customize, Advanced, Add list ?
This is the exclusions for the on-access scanner, the Program Settings, Exclusions is for on-demand scans.

If you did what was the path that you entered (it must be the full path and file name or used in conjunction with wildcards) ?

No I hadn’t. Added now.

Ok - Thanks

No problem, welcome to the forums.

I trust everything is working OK now.

Periodically check (scan) the file and when it is no longer detected as being infected then you can also remove it from the Exclusion list.
