I get this virus in the Local Settings\Temp
dir. When I try to delete or repair I get a message that the file can’t be found. This is in Windows XP Home & I’m running the Avast Home Ed. The Local Settings dir is hidden.

Hi,

-set Explorer-options to show all files/folders and extensions and then search/scan again…

  • you might want to scan the file with KAV or Trend (see my signature below) to get a more specific virus name and removal instructions… (IF the trojan has indeed activated yet)

  • another approach would be to totally empty the Temp folder, either manually, or with WIN’s built-in Cleanup-Tool
