I get a popup from Avast Antivirus whan accessing PayPal Website saying that the the website is infected by a trojan horse. Is it a false positive or my computer is infected?
Thanks for your advice.
Hi,
The alert is only when you use IE 9 or 10 (no problem with others browsers). See this post : http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=122573.0
I found that here : http://www.etsy.com/teams/7718/site-help/discuss/12215910/page/8

OK, the Avast rep. I spoke with confirmed it is a “false positive,” that they are aware of it, and it should be corrected within 24 hours.
She said not to worry about using PayPal.

True or not, I don’t know. But I think so…

I have the same problem. Between me and my daughter we have 4 computers I run Windows 7 with IE9 and Windows 7 with Google Chrome. My daughter runs Windows XP with IE8. I talked avast today and they are working on it. I couldn’t log onto Paypal using Window IE9 or IE8, but could log in using Google Chrome.
