Hello, I’m a new entry from Italy in this forum, and I apologize for my bad english…
until yesterday I had a Norton 2003 Antivirus program on my pc, and two day ago it found a Trojian.byte Verify but wasn’t able to delete it. The matter was strange because I was keeping it always up dat, but I decided do uninstall it and download avast4 home (of which I am very satisfied ), following some friends suggestion. So I did it but when I run the scan it didn’t find any kind of trojan or virus: what could be the reason of this difference?

could be because
a) Norton/you deleted it after all, maybe just by emptying your Internet-Cache /Temp-folder/ with disk-Cleanup
b) avast doesn’t recognize it (yet); then please send it in to
virus (at) asw (dot) com
in a password-protected zip-file; state problem and zip-password in the mailtext
c) you didn’t use the right settings in avast; try thorough scan with archive scanning
