People l need help, my computer is infected by a Trojan horse l have tried deleting it with avast home edition and Ad-ware but it gets infected again and again. Please can some one tell me what to do?
Below is the report of the Trojan horse.
File name: C:/ Winnt (System 32/lsess.dill
Malaware name: Win32 Qqrob Bk (TRJ)
Category: Monitoring Toll
There are 4 of them 2 are a process and 2 are files they both infected the settings /Administrator and the C winnt system 32. l have to delete, move to chest 3-4 times a day am really tired of doing these.
Does anybody know how l can permanently remove this Trojan horse from my computer? Thanks a million for your help.
Where is it recreated again, same location or different ?
Files in the system folders may be protected by windows system restore, saving a copy into the System Volume Information folder. Or there could be other elements to the infection, see below.
If you have XP or Win2k, you could enable a boot time scan. Right click the avast icon, select Start avast! Antivirus, Menu, ‘Schedule boot-time scan…’ Or see http://www.digitalred.com/avast-boot-time.php
If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it, preferably in safe mode.
It is recreated in the same location. I did thorough scan with Avast, l also scanned with Ad-Ware and Spybot. But the Trojan shows up again and again.
My computer also picked up something media, this new virus freezes and disconnects me from the Internet, Spybot said that it has been deleted but l think not.
Spybot and adaware appear light weight by comparison to the others I suggested.
We need more information than:

What did spybot say was deleted (malware name) ?
What is the infected file name, where was it found e.g. (C:\windows\system32\infected-file-name.xxx) ?
HI David thanks for your suggestion l will try one of them thanks.
here is the information Spybot displayed about this new virus that freezes and disconnect my computer from the internet
This is what was infecting the forums recently, but I would have thought that it would be giving an HDD location and not a web URL as given. I would suggest that you clear your browser Temporary Internet Files.
Hi David, so yesterday l downloaded spy ware terminator and did full system scan; Spy ware Terminator was able to come up with only three entries of Trojan horse that is infecting my computer. After Spy ware Terminator said that it has deleted the files l ran avast quick scan it showed that my computer is still infected by four Trojan horse, l also ran Ad-ware it also shows that my computer is infected by four Trojan horse two files and two process. After this l did full system scan with Spy ware Terminator it find nothing even though Ad-ware and Avast detected infection.
I am sorry to say this but l think Avast, Ad-ware and Spybot are better than Spyware Terminator. The only problem with Spybot is that it detect virus/Trojan and fixes the problem only once even if your computer is still infected with the same virus/Trojan it is not able to detect it the second time. But it is very good in detecting virus/Trojan.
Avast and Ad-ware are not able to permanently remove Trojan. But l will choose Avast, Sypbot and Ad-ware Over Spyware Terminator anytime anyday.
Well that is your privilege, but lets not forget that ST found things which the others didn’t and this is what using a multi application approach to compliment security. ST may well have removed elements that were hiding other malware, hence avast finding things not previously found.
Unfortunately you give no details of these, file name, location and malware name so I can’t speculate as to the reasons.
If avast can’t permanently remove something that it detects it is because it keeps coming back or being restored by an undetected element, this is where the likes of the programs I suggested are more likely to find that element.
ST is also a resident anti-spyware application which spybot and adaware aren’t.
But l will choose Avast, Sypbot and Ad-ware Over Spyware Terminator anytime anyday.
There is no choice 'over' anything, I'm not telling you to get rid anything, this should compliment your protection.
Hi David so yesterday l scan my pc with AVG, you are right AVG find something others were not able to find and it seems to have fixed the problem too. AVG is close to perfection and very impressive. Thank you David for your help.
You should be careful in your answer as AVG also has an antivirus which some will take as using the antivirus which isn’t recommended, avg-as (anti-spyware) is the correct application. I like it a lot because it isn’t resident and only runs when I want to update and run it as a weekly back-up scan to avast. In combination with avast it works well increasing overall detections.
Some would say you need a resident anti-spyware and the only reasonable one is Spyware Terminator.
