it’s only a noise (false positive) of some other security product… nothing to worry about
The following: “Trojan horse Dropper.Generic3.DAX”;“C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\defs\11010701\Sf.bin”;“Infected”;“1/9/2011, 1:43:15 AM”;“file”;“C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\AvastSvc.exe” is showing up in my AVG Threats. I am overlapping AVG (just finishing up my contract with them) with AVAST at this time & AVAST does not identify any threats.
There are no threats - those are valid avast! files that AVG is reporting false positives on.
Welcome to the forums, stuhmerk
AVG should have been removed before installing Avast or any other av program.
You should never run 2 resident av programs at the same time.
You now know at least one of the results from doing this.
Please remove AVG by the normal method and then using appropriate AVG removal tool because the normal way will leave behind remnants that will also cause problems.
Then, you may also need to reinstall Avast.
Hello. I am having the same problem, it’s showing this trojan 7 ties in the popup. I have tried going into each of the files and deleting them, but it won’t let me and the computer freezes up forcing a hard-boot!
I have Windows Vista Famiy Edition 2007 w/Service Pack 2. I am on a French computer, Acer, Aspire 5738. Running Avast 5.0
The files are the same as below except for the las #s:
11010801
11010900
11010901
11011000
11011001
11011200
11011200
I am not sure how to disable the software and how to delete the files. Any help would be appreciated.

Once again - sf.bin in avast! folder is NOT a trojan (and of course, should NOT be deleted).
What tool says otherwise?
???
Merci and sorry, not too computer saavy…I thought I should still delete them, but obviously not. So do I just ignore the “menace” pop-ups and carry on as all is okay with the system? Is there a way to make the software stop “detection of plusieurs menaces”.
What program is giving you these pop-ups?
