Trojan keeps appearing?

I notice three Trojans keep appearing in the virus Chest…

  • kernel32.dll
  • winsock.dll
  • wsock32.dll

Each time I delete them, this comes up:

Deleting of selected files

Program will try to delete 3 selected file(s) from the Chest
FileID: 0000000007 Original file name: C:\WINDOWS\system32\kernel32.dll
FileID: 0000000008 Original file name: C:\WINDOWS\system32\winsock.dll
FileID: 0000000009 Original file name: C:\WINDOWS\system32\wsock32.dll

Action was completed successfully!

But each time I restart my computer, They appear again in the Virus Chest ???

I try to Email Avast from the Virus Chest but it dos’t seem to work! :frowning:

What should I do? :‘( :’(

Just to make sure I understand, are you saying you moved those three files to the chest at some point in the past and now wish to delete them, but deletion fails?

And your computer is otherwise clean, or do these recur in locations outside the chest?

If those files are in the system file section of the chest, they are backups of legitimate files. Avast put them there for safe keeping and they will keep appearing.

Did you fulfill correctly the SMTP tab of settings (Program Settings > SMTP)?
