Trojan list

Hi, looking for information as I appear to be the main attraction for Trojans 3 new ones today, win32-Briss, win32-revop, Trojano-169, Avast managed to clear them, but I’d like to know if anyone knows of a list with all the known Trojans and what harm they can do, does such a list exist? Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks ???

Hello-
What programs are you using to protect yourself?
I get e-mails with this and that but I think you need to do more than you are doing. The best Anti-Virus is an educated user

Hi thanks for replying, quite new so trying to learn as fast as I can, I have McAfee firewall, Avast Anti-virus and use spysweeper, didn’t think I needed anything else ???

Hello-
I don’t think it would hurt to use a couple more.
Spybot and Ad-Aware for sure.
I have some info and links on my site.

Thank you Max will check out website, only one more question if I use the two programmes you recommend do I have to disable Avast whist they scan?

Hi-
I hardly ever disable Avast. Ad-Aware and Spybot will run fine while Avast is on. I have some other ones listed also.
Spybot has a resident that runs all the time along with a on demand scanner. Ad-Aware is an on demand scanner.
Spyware Blaster runs all the time.I use all of the ones listed on my site.

SpywareBlaster does not run all of the time as it doesn’t stay resident in memory. For IE, it merely adds to the list of cookies to block, as well as which web sites it lists as restricted. And as far as I know, Spybot’s Immunization function works similarly to SpywareBlaster and therefore doesn’t stay resident in memory.

Your right, I meant to write “Guard”
I stand corrected
You can turn on Spybot’s resident it’s called"tea time"-it runs all the time (has a pop up like WinPatrol) and seems faster than WinPatrol because the spybot warnings appear about 30 sec. before WinPatrol warns.

Ah indeed, I totally forgot about the Tea Timer (as I shut mine off after awhile) in ver. 1.3. Thanks for the reminder!

AirCeej-
I need all the protection I can get!(and afford) ;D
Have you seen my site?

I just perused it a few moments ago, and it looks quite helpful - certainly with candid suggestions and a great list of noteworthy freeware! Speaking of helpful utilities, one that I haven’t tried – yet seems especially interesting (albeit for a price), is Process Guard courtesy of the good folks from DiamondCS http://www.diamondcs.com.au/processguard/. Do you have any experience with it?

=AirCeej=

Process gaurd is also part of TDS 3, the best Trojan scanner around, that should be good.
I also use Bo-clean, Spyware blaster, Avast, Spysweeper, Trojan Hunter, and Admuncher. Usefull utilites when in trouble are Hi-jack This, XP Uninstaller by Macafee and Ads-alert, and Pest Patrol, and The Macafee Stinger updated weekly. and a great resource is Computer Cops: http://www.computercops.org/

Hey AirCeej-
No I have not tried it yet.
