Just run IOBit Malware Fighter (latest version) that informs me that there is a threat that it has failed to clear:
[i]Gen:Trojan.Heur2.FU.au0@aCeAl3ki, file, C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\setup\Instup.dll=>(Embedded EXE 2r), 0, [/i]
Can someone please tell me whether I should be concerned or is this a so-called False-Positive result?

The Instup.dll as far as I’m aware handles the Avast InStallUpdate function in avast, when an Update is in progress you are likely to see the InStUp.exe fine running in the task manager.
I don’t know if the Instup.dll is responsible for launching that.
I wouldn’t touch IOBit products either.
