I had a trojan virus on my computer and avast said it removed it to the chest but I am still having trouble. When I go to certain internet sites, a redish screen pops up and said continue unprotected or purchase software. When clicking on contnue unprotected you are brought right back to the same message. I have uninstalled “PAV” because I think that is what the virus came in.
If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it and report the findings (it should product a log file).

Its a rudge Anti-Virus. If you downloaded it, why didn’t you search to see if the antivirus was good or bad? If it auto-madicly was download by visiting a certain site or downloading something that came with it, what was the program and website? (If you post the website, be sure that you put hXXp:// insted of http://) I suggest you do what DavidR said and answer Tech’s question. Maybe you could help us by saying what rudge anti-virus did you download. Remember to surf for the anti-virus details before you download it! Most anti-viruses are rudge and get you infected! Again, did you download Avast?
