Has anyone had a trojan warning when starting Explorer because of this file? http://www.fiorganizer.com/F1/objects/shawn.dll\[UPX]
Is it actually something dangerous? It happens everytime I start Explorer so I quit and use Firefox instead… but what is this thing?
It has something bad. Dr.Web plugin for firefox report about link. (Besides, I don’t know, why I’ve started to get Dr. Web in Russian recently… ??? )
Please change or remove infected link somehow.
But why doesn’t Avast offer me to delete it? Avast only offers to “abandon the connection”
Thats the Web/Shield feature of Avast Protecting you 8) Do you really want malware on your comp
It stops you from connecting hence stopping the Adware from being downloaded when the page loads
Ah, ok, Avast is warning me that this thing is TRYING to get on pc, not that it’s actually in there yet. Correct?
Correct!!
Correct!!
Spot on- Its is warning you and will not let the page load as it knows it is dangerous containing
nasties Safe browsing with Avast web/shield great feature
You should remove the link
“You should remove the link”
Well that’s the weird thing because it appeared when launching Explorer on my startpage (Google…), whereas the link shown by Avast seems to be some Formula1 webpage which I’ve never been to.
Anyway I ran Adaware and Spybot and the Warning hasn’t appeared again so…
Hi friend =YLAP=
Well did not you recently update the plug-in version in Firefox for Dr. Web, it is 4.32.2 Go in FF to Extensions and check please. I checked the same file now September3rd 2005 and Dr. Web is in English. My Russian is poor, but my wife learnt it at school in Poland (matura). Or did you update the plug extension, the last, in Russian maybe by mistake? Dr. Web warns here against ElteBar Adware, difficult to remove, stay clear; read here: http://www.spywareguide.com/product_show.php?id=1124
And altar take away or modfy the link with xxx, because people may try to go there and will get infected with browser malware.
greets,
polonus
