Trojan Win32:Lineage-518 [Trj]

I am having problems with this trojan. It is in the spyware update files for Agnitum Outpost Personal Firewall Pro (spy5_main.sdb, spy6_inc.sdb and spy6_main.sdb) and whenever I try to move the files to the virus chest, it doesn’t let me. When I mark the files to delete, it is successful but when I reboot, the files are downloaded again. I have searched unsuccessfully to find some answers on why it’s doing this. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the problem? I have also tried to zip the files to send to avast but am unsuccessful in doing that. Each time I try to zip the files, my zip program (ZipGenius) crashes. Any help would be appreciated.

Outpost’s self protection will be stopping it.

The files mentioned are also the signature files (obviously unencrypted) being detected by avast, exclude the files from being scanned.

Standard Shield, Customize, Advanced, Add and
Program Settings, Exclusions

Personally I have the OP Pro, anti-spyware plug-in disabled, I have other anti-spyware applications that take care of that, it also is very active at boot (scanning hundreds of files) extending the boot duration. Not only that because it wants to open files for scanning, avast also scans them duplicating scanning effort.

But it is your system and choice.

Thanks for your quick reply. I have added the directory (antispyware) to the exclusions list.

No problem, welcome to the forums.

I would suggest you don’t exclude the directory but the specific file or file type within that directory C:\Program Files\Agnitum\Outpost Firewall\Plugins\AntiSpyware*.sdb being too general in your exclusion can leave you mere vulnerable.
