Trojans from visiting websites need help with prevention

Hi
I have an Intel home PC and I use an Opera browser. The security I use is Avast and Spybot and Defender. I like to
use the browser for researching (recipes for one) and You Tube music downloads. we have Steam installed and receive regular Steam updates. We don’t play Steam games right now though. And we have Broadband2Go Internet
service.

Avast has found trojans several times during a scan and once during its screen saver scan recently. I seem to be getting them from visiting websites embedded in pictures and possibly from the you tube music downloading but am not sure about that.

I am not sure what more to do to keep trojans out.

I had a trojan Win32:Game-thief-L detected and had quarantined in Avast.

Previous to this I had an Html:HideMe-F trojan (which came from ecurry.com pictures) found and deleted in Avast.

And the Avast Screen Saver Scanner picked up a JS Die trojan … and blocked it with two others.

Any help keeping these things out would be greatly appreciated. I use Avast Free edition at this time as I have zero
income but I hope to be able to purchase an edition in the future.

First, let’s check your system…

Attach your basic logs. (MBAM, FRST and aswMBR…!!)
Instructions: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

Here are three requested attachments
I still have one more attachment to post … thank you

Doesn’t look to bas, it seems as though Avast blocked them

CAUTION : This fix is only valid for this specific machine, using it on another may break your computer

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

Save this as fixlist.txt, in the same location as FRST.exe

Run FRST and press Fix
On completion a log will be generated please post that

THEN

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

[*]Close all open programs and internet browsers.
[*]Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
[*]Click on Scan.
[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
[*]Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
[*]You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

Okay I did the first step after aswMBR log and so here is the Fixlog
I still have Adw Cleaner log to do

Wow this if fun

This is the AdwCleaner log file … I hope

I wanted to thank you very much for assisting me today I enjoyed the process
After days and days of shoveling snow which I also like to do, sitting down at the computer for awhile was good
Although I don’t like having to shovel thru the files to find things that don’t belong there
These programs help with that kind of shoveling …

I would rather do this than shovel snow

How is the computer behaving now ?

Hi
The computer is great and Avast is great! And the help here was monumental.
Whilst I was downloading and scanning and submitting logs Microsoft decided to alert me that
of all things that my Firewall wasn’t on. So that is turned back on.

We have more snow on the way … shoveling, its a great way to get some exercise.

I was reading recently about computer baddies being able to shrink to being invisible in a log.
That can’t be good.

They may be able to shrink but, they will always leave traces somewhere

If they are hidden and try to connect then Avast will block them as shown by the cases where it is hiding in the BITs tasks

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.
