A little more info please. OS, other security programs, firewall, cpu, ram, etc. How did you update, manual\auto?
The VPS update shouldn’t change any program components, so the web shield provider which may have an effect of not being able to connect to the internet because your firewall might block ashWebSv.exe as this could be changed by a program update. So I believe this is something else.
What was the full text of the error message or post a screenshot.
I have also done a forums search for ‘dnserror.html page’ and ‘dnserror.html’ and yours is the only hit in the forums, so it hasn’t been reported before in the forums, which would also make me think it is another issue, what that issue is, is the question.
