Trouble using program called Transmission

I have activated my VPN but now anytime I try to download a file via Transmission it will not work. All the file does is sit there idle. If I shut off VPN then it will start downloading. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I hope someone can help me out, I would appreciate it.

Are you referring to SecureLine? Not sure BitTorrent traffic is permitted on SecureLine, but there are other VPN providers that do allow BitTorrent
