I don’t think so. A non responding server could be the result of many different causes:
- the server could be down,
- the server could just be busy,
- the access number you are using could be tied up (low bandwidth available)
- or you are not sending the proper authentication code.
Can you receive mail ok?
Have you checked the “timeout” setting in OE for SMTP transfers (Sending stuff)?
Open OE/Toos/Accounts
Then double click on your mail account. Open up the tab Advanced.
You can move the “slider” to increase the time. It is normally set at 1 minute. Large files may take a bit longer. You can try 2 minutes and see what happens.
