Trouble with last installed version

Hi every one,

I have updated my Home edition a few days ago. And the antivirus doesn’t work anymore:
It seems that I don’t have any rights on the D:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4 directory (I don’t remember the message but it was something like Action not authorized when I tried to access the folder…), and the result is :
Some dll cannot be loaded when the anti-virus need to scan a file and the avast toolbar is missing.

I can change the rights on the Alwil dir (since I’m admin of my computer) and then I can relaunch the toolbar and every thing is fine.

But when I reboot, the rights problem reappear.

I have the latest version.

Any advice?

Which is your operational system?

Can you follow these steps?

  1. Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
  2. Boot
  3. Use Avast Uninstall for complete uninstallation (read http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_uninstall_util.html)
  4. Boot
  5. Install again
  6. Boot
