mozilla firefox won’t load and can’t uninstall, is it avast not allowing this?
please be more clear.
are you facing this after you installed avast?.
what is the error you get when you try to load or uninstall?
your system specs… etc…
No it isn’t, avast doesn’t block, it scans and alerts to infected files and presumably that isn’t the case.
I have no problem with avast and firefox, if it were a problem with what you suggest this forum would be lit up like a Christmas tree as both avast and firefox are very popular.
Why can’t you uninstall, e.g. what errors are displayed ?
What version of firefox are you using ?
Hi kjwilly,
By the way, do you have an older version of Mozilla Fx than 3.5. In that case gradually Mozilla will urge all users to upgrade to the 3.5 version because of that being more secure, in contrary to Microsoft that allows IE6 to be supported until 2014 even while this browser is a relict seen to the IE8 version. But because of commercial network admins not willing to make the transgression we have the position MS takes now. Mozilla takes the other route - no older Firefoxes as 3.5 tolerated and enforced updates when it is coming to a place near you,
