Hi, i just lost my phone, i had installed avast anti-theft so i locked and in the screen it showed the reward message with my email, they contacted me saying they found it and wanted the reward, ok.

Thing is later in the night they tryed to unlock it i guess, because the number i put as trusted began to received temporary unlock codes, my father didn’t knew what was going on so he replied to the sms with the unlock code.

My question is, would they be able to read the sms and unlock it? or the program does this automatically if it receives via sms from the trusted phone the temporary unlock code?

only if the sms goes like this:

unlock

if he just sent the PIN, nothing bad happens.
