Hi,
I am trying to do a clean re-install of Avast as I believe it was the cause of some problems to my computer (especial constantly disconnecting my WiFi even though the adapter is running on performance mode and all drivers and software are up-to-date), but I’ve ran into error 0x10b. I have followed all the instruction from this tread https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=194892.0 (run and scan mbam & run and scan FRST) and here are my logs attached.
When I did the scans, AVAST was already uninstalled using Windows Control Panel. Its when I try running the avastclear.exe that the error appear. Malwarebytes scan was done under Safe Mode with Networking.
The reason I am doing a clean re-install is because my AVAST have gone through different versions and add-ons (Free Premium and back to normal free, Safe Browser, etc., basically the AVAST promotional deals :-). Also, I have never done a clean re-install since I first installed it to my computer.
I am using Free version of AVAST antivirus and its running on Windows 10 latest update package (Updated on 13/09/2018)[Windows 10 64bit Home Single Language 1807 OS Build: 17134.285].
The OS is running on LENOVO Z40-75 Laptop and was previously a Windows 8.1 OS.
The latest version of AVAST before uninstalling was also the latest pack (I believe its 18.6.3983.0 which the programme self update few days ago).
Malwarebytes was also installed together with AVAST for a year now and that has been running smoothly.
Previous Security Software installed was 3 years ago when I bought this laptop. Its a pre-installed McAfee which I do not remember if I did a clean uninstall (3 years ago). I wont be surprised if that was the problem as seen in this tread https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=168069.0
I hope I gave all the details needed. Please reply ASAP thanks
