Trying avast! 4 PDA **Problem Fixed

Bonjour,

I am trying to use avast! 4 PDA on my new Palm Tungsten E and after instaling the software on my desktop and running the HotSynch I do have the Icon for avast on my PDA.

When I click on it, I receive an error message about the License key. It says that the license key has expired. I am using the demo (60 days) version.

On the desktop, there is a license key and it does not match the one that is on the PDA version.

Can you please help me ?

Hello, it sounds like you would have different date/time on the desktoppc and the palm device, am I right? If not, please send me those keys to my email. Thanks.

I wrote you an instant message, you should download:
http://cs.felk.cvut.cz/~kurtip1/avast.prc
file and replace it with your current one on your Palm device.

it should solve your problem

If it doesnt help, please find ‘avast.pdb’ (avast database) and delete it.

I followed your instructions and deleted the database and re-installed with the new .PRC file you have provided me and now it is working just fine.

I am happy to report that there are no virus on my Palm Tungsten E. It is clean as a whistle.

I am testrunning PDA Edition too, but the sig file that came with the windows installer will not synch - palm says no a valid file - I can use the pdb file from the zip download, but that’s one from november 2003 - a little old.

Update is impossible - it always asks for a key
