Trying to cancel auto-renew

Hi, can someone please help?

I did not realise my order of last year would be auto-renewed, and I cannot find how to cancel it, or, more seriously, how to contact any sort of customer support.

“Submit a ticket” was impossible to submit because I could not fill in the field for Order ID. My account page doesn’t seem to have any order information, and I have never received an email from Avast regarding any order (my auto-renewal this month involved a 75% price rise, and I have no idea what I’ve paid for. Is it normal not to receive any email notification about orders?

On another page in this forum I found a reply to a similar request with a link to a page for finding an unknown order ID. This required my email address and some digits from my credit card, but though I input these correctly, all I got was “invalid information”.

I really can’t think what else I can do – I don’t want the product I’ve just paid for, and I cannot afford for auto-renewal to continue.

Any help gratefully received.

Maybe this will help.

You can also look at/change the auto-renewal yourself here https://www.avast.com/find-order

Thanks very much, I’ll give those a try. I think it was the last link that told me my information was invalid, but hopefully one of the others will work for me.

You should have received an email at the time of purchase which would state either “Digital River” or “Nexway” as the Distributor.
Also the email address you used to purchase originally can help.

Thanks.
I’m a bit worried that an email may have gone to an old account I can’t access, though I don’t think something so recent should have used that address. Nexway does sound familiar. I will do some further digging…

If you are hitting a brick wall and can’t retrieve pertinent information I will try to attract some attention from an Avast Team member who has access to information I don’t and can help you.
