Did you copy paste the code in avast and get an error message?

No, I got the code using my Desktop, and entered it on my laptop, as I donot have access to my Email on my laptop, only my Desktop. I was requested for 29 bits to the code, and I was only given 28.
Go to the SSL page version and register from there: https://secure.avast.com/scripts/register.php?lang=ENG. The Registration key is valid for 14 months.

You can copy the email contents, open a text file (Notepad) or doc (Word), paste, save to an USB drive.
Use it to copy & paste in the other computer.
Be sure to do not include the ‘last blank space’ in the paragraph while copying & pasting.
