I understand from your message that you are unable to uninstall Norton product from your system as it asks for a password.
I suggest that you log on to your computer as an administrator, then perform removal of Norton program completely using the Norton Removal Tool which uninstalls all the Norton products installed in your system.
To uninstall Norton product use the Norton Removal Tool, this is designed to remove left over Norton files and registry entries that may be interfering with the Norton installation.

Please note that their is no need to uninstall your Norton program through Add/Remove programs.
You need to download and run Norton Removal Tool, which will automatically uninstall’s your Norton program from your system.
