I got the following log under avast! Log Viewer > Warning, dated on Dec 1, 2004 the date I updated my avast Pro from 4.5.523 to 4.5.546. The update was successfully completed.

12/1/2004 9:14:53 PM SYSTEM 1224 AAVM - scanning warning: x_AavmCheckFileDirectEx [UNI]: C:\DOCUME~1\MY USERNAMELOCALS~1\TEMP\17t1ia5m.doc (C:\DOCUME~1\MY USERNAME\LOCALS~1\TEMP\17t1ia5m.doc) returning error, 0000A477.

I searched the entire harddisk and found no entry for the file named “17t1ia5m.doc” Anyone could kindly advise if this is something I should be worried about? Thanks a lot.

This code means: AVAST_MACROVIR_ERROR
It means, there was the error during document scanning, e.g. file couldn’t be opened, not enough memory, unable to start engine, etc…

Thank you for the explanation. Gotta be due to something I was doing while avast was scanning (which is hardly any surprise ;)). It the first warning error I received during the pas four month using avast. Great program. Keep it up ;D
