Turning off the Avasti Update sound

Every so often, Avasti announces an update on my computer. I want to turn this sound off as it is very annoying. Does anyone know how to do this? Sylanne

  1. This setting was moved to under Settings > Appearance > Sounds

  2. Who is the DOLT who thinks sounds should be under ‘Appearance?’ Let me guess, someone who has the arrogance to call himself a ‘designer?’

  3. Why are automatic update sounds checked by default AT ALL? This is insanely annoying, unnecessary, and every single person I know who has Avast just HATES these constant, loud, startling update about something that is utterly unimportant to their lives and they can’t or wouldn’t need to act on anyways?

you dont.....i just clicked the [b]reply[/b] button and copy pasted the quote above ;)

reply button should be under the post you want to reply to …

You probably need to scroll down a bit.
In combining the various functions, they should have titled it a bit better such as Appearance/Sounds
It certainly isn’t anything to get excited or perturbed about. :slight_smile:
