Two questions

I am looking into installing the Pro version on about 10 computers.

  1. The requirements indicate that Internet Explorer is required. Is it OK if I am using Firefox as my default browser but have IE installed also?

  2. I don’t have any email program installed on at least 8 of the computers. The description mentions “push” updates using the email program. Will this feature work on the terminals that don’t have an email program?

The requirement on IE relates to viewing the help files, so you shouldn’t have a problem, since IE is an integral part of windows.

I am a avast Home, so I’m unable to answer the push question.

Are all the PCs networked as you may have other options?

Pawnbroker, are these 10 computers in a network/
Maybe the avast! Distributed Network Manager could fit your needs better, I’m not sure (http://www.avast.com/eng/adnm.html).
Anyway, without downloading the email I think it will be difficult to take access on the “push” updates technology… :-\
