Two Update Notications When Computer Starts

Each time I start my computer Avast says “Avast has been updated” with the typical box. About 10 seconds later repeats itself with the same message and box. Removed and reinstalled but still get the same two update notifications. Anyone else having this issue? Is it normal?
Thanks,
Larry

Yep, been going on for a while, See here:

It is a known problem which has been acknowledged by avast and should be resolved in the next program update.

All my pc’s doing this as well. Glad its not just me.

I investigate this problem & found in cCleaner>Tools>Scheduled Tasks>AvastEmUpdate.exe (Avast Emergency Update). If it disable you may hear avast update sound twice. If it enable there is no problem.
I have test this on my machine. So you may try to enable this scheduled task & restart your PC for take effect.

Thank You.

The AvastEmUpdate has nothing to do with the normal virus definition updates so if your not recieving the double sound update notice then that is just pure coincidence as there not related, my EmUpdate.exe is scheduled on in tasks and it makes no difference.
