UI Failed to load. Problem created by installing from recommendation link.

Tested with 17.8.2318 on multiple PCs running Windows 10 version 1709.
Looks like it is something that is botched in the installer downloaded through a recommendation link.
Installations with the regular installer does not show this problem.

Mine is http://www.avast.com/get/nMBIdyAd which becomes https://www.avast.com/da-dk/lp-get?tagId=nMBIdyAd after loading the page.

Thank you bob3160 but I already fixed the problem by installing Avast normally (not through the recommendation link).
I was just hoping that this info could be forwarded to the right people (developers) as I did not see it mentioned anywhere when I searched. ;D

The executables are not the same.
I only know that one installs with “UI failed to load” and the other installs without that error.

yes that’s a known issue, it will be fixed in next version. Now PC restart helps, then it works fine.
