UI failed to load

Hello, my problem is when that when I try opening Avast Free Antivirus, UI Failed to Load, This is really embarrassing. AV service is not responding. I’ve read the other threads with the same problem and I tried doing what you guys suggested. So far I’ve tried uninstalling Avast through control panel, Avastclear.exe and re-installing Avast free Antivirus but it still says UI failed to load. I tried repairing Avast by going to control panel. It also didn’t work. I tried the Terminal Services by using the win + r , services.msc, RDS, etc. and none of them solved the problem, I still get the UI failed to load.

My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
The version of the Avast I downloaded is the latest one I think, I checked it in the About Avast (17.6.3625.0)
and I only used Avast, I’ve never used other security softwares.

I’d like to add that I haven’t purchased a liscense yet since I was planning to upgrade the Free to Pro or Premier.
Virus definitions are unknown, when I try to update it says the RPC server is unavailable.

My Avast expired a year ago but I didn’t really mind it, and it was only today that I decided to renew it. Before I uninstalled Avast the first time today, I tried doing scans, like quick scan or a full scan but it wouldn’t allow me, that’s why I decided to re install it. But now my problem is that UI failed to load appears when I open Avast. Please help me :frowning:

By the way I don’t really know much about computer stuff, and this is my first time in this forum so please bear with me.

Check the Windows services.
Is the RPC service running ?

The RPC status says started, and startup type is automatic. So I guess it’s running. It doesn’t give me the option to stop it when I open the properties. But the RPC locator on the other hand, the status says stopped and startup type is manual.

Set it to automatic and start it.
See if it makes a difference.

I tried opening Avast after I set it to automatic, Avast doesn’t open at all, it doesn’t even show up in the tray. If I wait for a while it would say Avast has stopped working and disappear right away.

So I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it again. It still says UI failed to load

People, this was discussed with the developers and, right now, they need the support package to reproduce the error.

Please follow these steps:
First enable debug logging: GUI > Settings > General > Maintenance > Enable debug logging
Then try to reproduce the error.
And then create a support package and submit it (guide here: https://www.avast.com/en-us/faq.php?article=AVKB33) and post here the ID of the created package so we can find it.

They said that I don’t have any valid purchases with the e-mail I sent, but I’m using Avast Free AV.

Ok, I just purchased a license for Avast Internet Security, it still says UI failed to load, and I already did the Avast Support option, now I’m waiting for their reply.

It says: We’re sorry, but we can’t seem to find a record of your license in our system. I just purchased one before sending a ticket about the UI failed to load issue
