Unable to cancel auto renewal

I’ve been spending hours trying to cancel auto renewal, giving lie to the promise “Hassle-free cancellation
You can cancel your participation in the auto-renewal plan at any time to prevent future renewals.”

After logging into the right page, the choice is:

If you do not wish for it to automatically renew, update the setting below.

Automatic Renewals:

Expiration Date:9/8/2015

Renew Now - ???

Clicking bravely on “Renew Now” when I want to cancel auto renewal on

provides a long, confusing form, which does NOT give the option to cancel. Avast, what’s this all about?

I was able to cancel it easy by the following:

  1. I went to my email account (the one associated with my avast account).
  2. I found my order and clicked on the link for the portal.
  3. I entered the order number and password found in my email.
  4. I clicked stop auto renew
  5. I got an email within a minute stating the auto renew got canceled.

Once the auto renewal is disabled, the trial will expire after the 60 days and it won’t charge you for a 1 year licence.

If you actually go to Google play store click on avast app .it will show your subscribed .in same section it shows how to usubscribe click it and should be unsubscribed.you still have service just no autopay.hope this helps

Not working for me, says my email address is incorrect, but I receive emails from Avast and it’s the one I set up account with (shows on my account also).

Your account email and ordering email can be different.

Lisa your post has nothing at all to do with the OP’s post/problem.

I have screwed around trying to remove the Avast automatic removal for more than an hour,called the company ,told me to register,did all that ,sent too many emails no response,it appears they make it difficult for people to change it ?I have entered the codes so many times and it doesnt work!
