Avast says it is blocking a hostile webpage or file. Since getting this message we are unable to connect to Internet explorer, firefox or thunderbird on our PC. We have the free version. have run a scan which has ‘moved to chest’ 2 infected files of 3 but says it can’t find the third one.
Microsoft Defender is also in operation nd does not report any threats.
I’d be very grateful for any ideas as to how to resolve this.
