Hello,
I suspect this would have been covered before so please feel free to point me to an existing thread, I have searched but I couldn’t find anything.
Following a recent issue with Windows I have formatted my hard drive, now when Avast is installed I have to have Web Shield and Secure DNS turned off otherwise I either cannot connect to the internet at all or pages will not load correctly.
I wonder if somebody could help me resolve the issue please. I am running Vista.
- Which version…?
- OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
- Other security related software installed…?
- Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?
Vista Premium 32bit
Windows defender
I had Avast Premier installed before formatting and didn’t have any issues previously.
Pls answer my questions properly…
- Which Avast! build version…?
Do u try repair?
Repair Avast:
- Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
- Click on ‘Repair’.
- Follow instructions.
- Reboot.
Have you done all of the updates to Vista since re-installing ???
Program version 11.2.2262
Virus def 160505-0
Is that what you needed?
I have tried what you sugested but unfortunately it didn’t make any difference. I did get the following message;
Failed to load language dll
llanguage path: 1033\UILangRes.dll
