Unable to contact device

Samsung Note3 good wifi & cell signal. At my avast account webpage tried

  1. Send Message
  2. Call
  3. Siren
  4. Lock
    None of them worked. Each one returns message UNABLE TO CONTACT DEVICE.
    I am able to browse the internet , make and receive calls, and send and receive texts normally.
    Why is avast the only program that can’t use any of these services to contact my device.
    Not really much of an anti theft program if it can’t reliably contact the device.

Are there any restrictions on the router? Are you behind the firewall? Did you try to repair the connection inside the application via "Fix connection problems?

Do you have your Google account setup ?
Is your phone rooted ?
