I did a full scan and got this report in the scan log. I am unable to select any of the files listed nor select an option of what to do with any of them such as move them to a chest or delete them.
i recently had a problem with malware on my computer which went undetected. it was privacy safeguard which was causing google chrome to crash and wanted you to download an update. unfortunately i downloaded the update before i realized this was not a legit google update. since then i have got rid of privacy safeguard off my laptop and went into downloads and control panel uninstall programs and found the googleupdate and deleted that as well. however i just ran a full as you see here and this is what i am left with. what do i need to do?

it is not a detection… it is a scan error…files not found
and what action can be taken on files not found 
avast is a antivirus program and will only take action on infected files
reboot and scan again…still same error?
