When I connect my Windows XP laptop to the internet, I get a message stating that the virus database found win32:Agent-AEJ [Trj]. It then proceeds to warn me about potential infections being detected from too many identical e-mails in appointed time. The trojan was moved to the chest and deleted. I also scheduled a scan of the c drive and rebooted. I’m OK as long as I don’t connect to the internet but as soon as I plug the cable in, the problem starts all over. Is there anyone who can offer any guidance on how to get rid of this trojan?
Hi “195” :
This "situation" has been discussed on this forum several
times ; have you use the "search" on the top of the screen
to find the solutions recommended !?
AND when always posting on a forum seeking help,
ALWAYS mention the name of your Operating System .
I would suggest an online scan at one of the following
http://ts.mcafeehelp.com/?siteID=1&resolution=800x600
http://www.geocities.com/dontsurfinthenude/antivir2.htm
You may have a downloader that avast! isn’t picking up. I found one with mcafee online scan.
Good luck!
