Unable to enable Anti-Theft as device admin after install

Hello All,

I am unable to set my anti-theft as device admin after root installation.

Details are as listed

  1. Phone model : Samsung Galaxy S5
  2. Firmware : Recently upgraded to Lollipop 5.0
  3. Root Installation : Yes (as shown in ‘system state’)

before upgrading the firmware i was able to set the anti-theft as device admin. Now after upgrade i am not able to set.

Same problem here, it refuses to set AntiTheft (Rooted) as device manager.

Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F latest android 5.0 (minor upgrade) version. :frowning:

Try to reinstall anti-theft and see if it works.

Tryed all i can think of uninstalling reinstalling Anti-Theft, factory reset and reinstalled the complete Mobile Security Suite but nothing helped. Anti-Theft cannot be set to System Manager.

I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5, recently upgraded to Lollipop which is currently rooted as well. Had to reinstall Anti Theft after update and when I attempt to enable it as a Device Administrator, the setting doesn’t retain. I click the check box, then click enable but when I go back the check box is missing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled anti theft to no avail. I have enabled and disabled device administrator for other apps to rule out an android problem, and they worked just fine. Any ideas?

Had contact whit Avast support, the problem lies in the combination Anti-Theft and the latest S5 lollipop update. It should be working in the next update of Mobile Security.

Thanks for sharing that information xclude.

It should be new antitheft, not mobile security. Actually the CDN version of rooted AT is working with rooted S5.

AFAIK Avast seems to be abandon the rooted version of anti-theft, so you should not expect a very much support.
