I was recently notified by my Avast Internet Security 2015 that my licence was due to expire in a month.
I followed the relevant links and renewed my licence right then.
The licence file that I received expires in Dec 2015, whereas my current licence expires in Jan 2015. IN other words the renewed licence was one month short.
I presumed it would be quite simple to raise a ticket with Avast and they’d fix it.
I raised such a ticket on Dec 25th and have heard nothing back from them.
I tried ringing the only phone number (00 420 274 005 777) I can see in their ContactUS section and can’t find anyone there. I am always told to leave a voice message.
Has anyone had any luck contacting anyone at all at Avast via phone?
Or, had their tickets responded to in a timely manner?

You could try the on-line contact form, http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?loadStyles for: Sales inquiries, let them know about the purchase/receipt number, the previous expiry date and that on the new subscription. They should send you a modified license so you don’t lose out be renewing early.
If you renewed your license from the avastUI, it should have taken the expiry date of the old license into account.
If you renewed outside of the avastUI there would be no linkage back to your old license and expiry date,
Interesting, as I also recently ‘renewed’ Premier License via the GUI.
After the renewal completed, In my “Account” accessed via the GUI, there were then “2” Licenses showing; the one that was expiring on Jan 03/ 15 and the ‘Renewed’ License that shows expire date of Jan 03 16 (And that’s not the date I renewed).
The new renewed License was simply applied as active from the date the older one would expired.
For about a month I had “2” Licenses valid in my ACCOUNTS. I just let the older one expire and the new one took over and now only 1 License appears.
