I have updated to latest version of avast (home) 4.7 936 and since i can’t get my mail through outlook express. i try to uninstal, reinstall, restart etc. and nothing. If i use the option “stop on-access protection” outlook work fine. But when i turn on the protection the problem comeback… Very weird
Any idea?

Well apart from there is now an update to that build, now .942, do a manual program update.
After program updates, providers are updated and your firewall (which is ?) may be blocking ashMaiSv.exe, ensure that it allows internet access for ashMaiSv.exe.
Great… the problem was solved. ZoneAlarm wasn’t allowing avast scan my mails.

For the future, ZA should prompt you when a program is updated/changed so it is important to fully read the pop-up so as not to block an essential process.
