Unable to Initialize Safezone Browser

Hi I’m getting error “THE APPLICATION FAILED TO INITIALIZE PROPERLY 0xC0000005” when trying to open Safezone Browser. On Previous Avast IS version Safezone was working fine. After the Update I’m getting the error. Current version is AIS 2015.0.10.2208. Uninstalled (using avastclear utility from safe mode) and then reinstalled. But no luck still getting the error. I’m on XP. Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks In advance.

From version 2015, SafeZone no longer works on systems with non-SSE2 processors (e.g. AMD socket 462 Sempron/Athlon XP) because the latest Chromium browser is not compatible with it.

Thank You Eddy. Can you help me how to find out whether my system has the non-SSE2 processor or not. I’m on Core 2 Duo 4500. Best Regards.

Thank you. SSE2 is available on my processor. But Safezone is not working. Any help would be appreciated.

  • XP… (32/64 Bit…? - which SP…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

Hi Asyn. Currently Xp sp2. Using Avast From 4.x version. No Security software.

If you’re on a 32Bit system, update your XP to SP3 and try again.
