I’m using Spygate Personal Firewall 5.5 and the Avast webscanner is set to ‘allow’ access. Turning the webscanner off or the whole of Avast off does not alter the problem.
BUT when I turn off Sygate Firewall (and leave just my router firewall on) the problem is fixed! I will try upgrading to Sygate 5.6 to see if that solves the problem otherwise I’ll use a different firewall.
In the meantime does anyone have any bright ideas about tweaking the sygate firewall settings. I’m not experienced with networks, firewalls, ports and all that techie stuff. Is there something I’ve missed?
Cheers
Doug
