Unable To Login In The Program

I can log in fine online, but when I try to do it on the desktop program, it tells me " We are sorry, but we could not connect your device to your account. " and “Unsuccessful login”.

I have my subscription active, and my license shows my name and everything. Any help to log in/ add the device to my list?

  • Which Avast…? (Free/Pro/IS/Premier)
  • Which version…?
  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?

A lot of people have reported the same problem for quiet a while.
It happened a lot when avast was working on the user account website.
Seems that avast still hasn’t solved the problem completely.

Have you tried it several time spread out over the day ?
Have you tried it on different days ?

Hi, i can log in and regist my Avast Free Antivirus. I have Windows XP and program show me this message:

The online content is unavaliable
Please, check your internet connection and try again.

I’m connecting with my WiFi with a TP Link connector.

Can be this a problem?

Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. I am using Internet Security Avast, version 12.3.2280, on a 64-Bit Windows 7 machine. I also have Malwarebytes (free) on this computer. I have The same Avast license and Malwarebytes on 2 other computers, where everything worked fine. One is Windows 8.1 and the other is 10.

I thought Avast would have fixed this by now, but has anyone else found a way to log in via the program?

Edit: I have been trying about 4-5 times per week since I got the computer.

This is a great guide, however when I click “login” after entering my credentials, it tells me it was an “Unsuccessful Login” and won’t continue. I am logged in on 2 other devices ( I have a 3 device license) and can log in online as well.

Repair Avast and try again:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

No luck :frowning:
