Unable to login to ADNM Console

Recently I was changing passwords for some of my administrative logins, and I changed the one for ADNM as well. Unfortunately, the very next time that I went in I could not get back into the system. I have read the different articles concerning this topic and the best solution was to restore from a backup. However, I have a problem because too much time has passed and the backups that I run nightly are long gone for my server. Is there another option besides uninstall/re-install? ???

I don’t understand… so you changed the password and then forgot what it was?

No, I thought that I changed it to something that I had already been using.

Uhm, please excuse my ignorancy but could you please tell me once more what’s the problem? You can’t log in to the console because you don’t know the correct password (for whatever reason)? Is that correct?

Thanks

Correct. I believe what happened is that when I changed the password I must have been off by 1 character or something like that.

Just for the sake of keeping general audience informed: in this case, it turned out that the problem was caused by the fact that the “sa” password in SQL Server has been changed and so the avast! Management Server couldn’t connect to it any more. Updating the connection details via the “AMS Maintenance Tool” resolved the issue.
