Unable to renew Avast Free Antivirus - "Online content unavailable"

I’ve been using Avast Free for years without troubles, but all of a sudden, I can’t renew it anymore. Whenever I try, I just get a popup window saying “Online content unavailable”. Obviously I have a functioning internet connection, because I’m on this forum right now. How am I supposed to renew?

Disable Avast self-defence module and restart your pc avast can access internet after doing this.
