Unable to reset Administration Console Password

Hello,

Months ago, I’ve installed the Avast Endpoint Protection for a client and give them all passwords they need to manage the system using the Administration Console.
They just called me back because they lost the admin password :-s

I’m trying to reset it using this article: https://blog.avast.com/2014/04/03/how-to-reset-your-avast-administration-console-password/

But when I launch the "Avast.Sbc.Service.exe” command, I get this:

C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Administration Console>Avast.Sbc.Service.exe -c password -p
avast! Administration Console service (version: 1.3.3.42)
Running on Windows 7 Service Pack 1 - Version 6.1.7601 (64bit)

Then a popup telling me that a service cannot be started from the command line…

All avast services are started on the computer so what’s wrong?

What are you talking about exactly?

I’m just looking for a way to reset the Admin password because the information provided in the blog doesn’t seems to work correctly, at least for my client…
